Ecology: Fertilizing-Irrigation Plan
Aware of the balance that industrial activity must keep with its natural surroundings
We have implemented a Fertilizing-Irrigation Plan that goes from the nearby sugar cane fields to our distillery. This sophisticated irrigation system, that works through aspersion, has improved the farming fields by incorporating great amounts of organic matter with residual waters produced from the distillation processes, and thereby incorporating great amounts of potassium to the corps as well.
We use vacuum distillation technology which allows important fuel savings, and contributes to avoiding global warming.
We have certification from national laboratories granted the certification and the Colegio de Posgraduados (Postgraduates School), a prestigious agricultural institution in Mexico, granted the endorsement.
Currently, our distillery fulfills the Official Mexican Regulation NOM-064-ECOL-1994, that establishes the permissible maximum limits of polluting agents in the residual water unloading to the receiving body: ground through agricultural irrigation.
