Founded in 1920 in Jiquilpan, Michoacán

The Romero family initiated the drinkable ethyl-alcohol commercialization, obtained from the fermentation of non crystallizing sugar cane honey produced at the sugar talent Hacienda de Guaracha, one of the first properties expropriated during the Mexican Revolution.

The Romero´s second generation expanded the commercialization across the whole state of Michoacán, with great success.

In 1991, Romero´s third generation following their forefathers example founded Alcoholera de Zapopan, S.A. de C.V. in the city of Guadalajara the financial and commercial center in western Mexico.

In April 2006 it opened the most modern distillery in Mexico using cutting edge technology.
